The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if with half a date." Sadaqah is the widest door of Islam: it has no fixed amount, time, or condition. While even a smile is charity, imagine the value of a helping hand extended to the table of a family struggling with hunger. The good news in the Hadith is clear: "Sadaqah averts calamity and extends life."
Today, 673 million people around the world face hunger (FAO 2025). In Africa, 1 in every 5 people cannot put enough food on their table; according to United Nations data, 42.8 million children suffer from acute malnutrition. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 1 in 4 people, and in Sudan, half of the population is in a food crisis. An amount that seems small to you feeds a family for days in these regions.

When you entrust your sadaqah to us, our field teams deliver it to the most vulnerable families — orphans, the elderly, and families with children in crisis zones — as food and basic necessity assistance. We work in places where aid is hardest to reach, particularly in Africa.
Make sadaqah a habit, not a one-time act: the deeds most beloved to Allah are those that are continuous, even if small. You can give on behalf of yourself, your loved ones, or your deceased relatives — one of the three things that continues to accrue rewards in the book of deeds of the deceased is the charity given after them.
As close as half a date: let the sadaqah you give today cook a meal in a home whose name you have never heard, feed a child, and turn into a prayer.
